State Of The Race: Adam Laxalt Leads Masto In The Polls As Democrats Struggle

RENO, NV - As 2022 begins, Nevada Republican U.S. Senate candidate Adam Laxalt is in strong position to defeat Democrat incumbent Senator Catherine Cortez Masto and become the 51st Senator in a new GOP majority. Leading in the polls with a growing roster of conservative supporters, Adam has barnstormed communities across Nevada while speaking out on issues from unemployment to inflation to critical race theory. Here's a rundown of where things stand at the start of the new year:

Adam surges to the lead in multiple polls:

A poll reported first by NBC News shows Adam leading Masto 46-42. The same poll also had Joe Biden's disapproval rate in Nevada at 56 percent. Another poll by the Trafalgar Group showed Adam leading by a similar margin.

National observers move Nevada Senate toward the GOP:

In recent months, both the Cook Political Report and the University of Virginia's Center for Politics moved their ratings for Nevada's Senate race from "Leans Democrat" to "Toss-up" while even liberal CNN now considers this seat one of the top five most likely to flip. Similar analyses were made by the Washington Examiner and The Hill in recent days.

Conservative leaders across America back Adam:

Not only has President Donald Trump fully endorsed Adam's candidacy, but Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has also backed his Senate bid. Adam has received endorsements from conservative outsiders serving in the Senate, including Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Mike Lee, and Tom Cotton. Other prominent leaders to back Adam include Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Ambassador Richard Grenell and numerous conservative leaders across Nevada.

Barnstorming Nevada, Adam hits all 17 counties in first months of campaign:

While Masto was pushing Biden's stalled agenda in Washington, Adam has been visiting communities across the state from Elko to Fallon to Pahrump. While Adam has been active in the rural areas of the state, he's also working to build grassroots support in Clark and Washoe, with former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway joining him for a packed rally in Las Vegas last month.

Adam takes aim at Biden's destructive agenda:

With unemployment skyrocketing in Nevada and inflation crushing working families, Adam has taken aim at oppressive and unnecessary Democrat lockdowns and reckless spending by the Biden administration. He's also stood up against critical race theory indoctrination, receiving a standing ovation at a Douglas County School Board meeting when he called for it to be banned in Nevada schools.
